Weaves

Wefts are a great method to add a lot of density and volume to the hair in a small surface area.

They can be applied in several methods to aid discretion, and come in a range of sizes to enhance comfort when wearing, as well as flatness to the head.

They are applied in 1-4 rows - one row is excellent to add volume, and the ultimate 4 rows are ideal for a full head transformation.

They can also be combined with other extension methods, such as Nanos, Tapes and V Light to create a cohesive and blended finish.

All About Weaves

Weaves are excellent to pack a punch of volume or colour into the hair. They can be layered to change colour placement and to aid comfort. The weight of weft will be determined on the natural hair health, but you an expect one row to be anything from 50g and a full head to be upwards of 150-200g.

My Weave methods involve creating a 'track' along a parted row of hair with microbeads; and then sewing the wefts of hair into these pockets of hair created by the beads, distributing the hair and the weight evenly across the head.

Most Weft clients will combine this method with either a Tape or Nano extension, too, to give fuller body around the front of the hair and get closer to the hairline.

They require refits at around the 8 week mark and similarly to other methods, this is dependant on aftercare, lifestyle and your scalp health. Incorrect aftercare or an oilier scalp can alter how well the beads stay in the hair. Oiler hair or incorrect aftercare products can encourage the beads to slip, meaning a refit would be required earlier.

Refits and installations are priced per rows, as opposed to per weight of hair.

If full, thick hair is your goal then weaves are an excellent choice!
